Backflow Detection Testing
Raleigh
To ensure that the drinking water in your home remains safe for consumption, you need to have your water system checked with backflow detector testing equipment. This is required by law if you have an irrigation system for your lawn, but is also important for residential property owners with a well, swimming pool, or using a septic system.
The Federal Safe Drinking Water Act now requires that all backflow assemblies be tested and approved each year. For residents in Wake County, the local government is now requiring certification to prove that your system has been duly tested by a licensed contractor (www.raleighnc.gov). Craftsman Direct has a licensed plumbing contractor who can perform this backflow detection testing for you. If your backflow valve is worn out, he can replace that valve.
A backflow system contains a valve that will automatically close if/when the water pressure serving your property falls below the pressure in your system. This valve must be checked to ensure that it is working properly. All residential properties with an irrigation system or a swimming pool are required to have an annual backflow prevention assembly and to have it tested annually. Properties using well water or a septic tank system should also be periodically tested.
Our licensed and certified plumbers can test your backflow system and perform any repairs needed - just call us for a FREE estimate.
